Year 7: Photographic Images, based on Mathematics.

This is a photo of my neighbours’ roof tiles on their house.
Each square section of the tiles looks like chocolate bars and it is all even in each row and it’s in line with each other, it’s all just neat and it stays in one line and it is not separate.

I chose this because it stood out, but not only that, because it also reminded of patterns,
also it looks a bit like Victor Vasarely's work.

I found this interesting as it is a repeating pattern found in my house, also the shadows give it a good effect.

Design a T Shirt with a Geometric print that you would be proud to wear.  You could have a career as a textile or fashion designer.

Homework: Correct errors, catch up on module 2...

Dear Classes

Please can you:
  • Correct errors on marked work, so that we can sign off those tasks (and update the system)
  • Complete any outstanding tasks from previous modules (Algebra & Calculation, 2)
  • Make sure that you have completed 3 tasks from this current module: Number, 1.  (Only 2 weeks left, minimum of 9 signed off tasks)
  • Organise your books, so that they are neat and tidy (signed off work stuck in, other work put in a file).

Homework: Compass Circles. Set: 27th March 2015. Due: 14th April 2015.

 
 

Create you own circle based artwork using a pencil and compass.
 
The objective of this homework is to improve your compass skills and precision in drawing and positioning circles.
 
I tried to create one where the circles touched the boarders and as many other circles.  I've managed to use only four colours.  The picture below is not possible using only three colours, as the same coloured circles would touch each other.
